Social Media has been growing at a rapid rate with increase in internet adaptation rate. There are more than 3.1 million social media active users around the world.
So, businesses have come online by creating their social media pages to connect with their users. But with so many social media networks, businesses tend to use tools to manage them.
So, today we are going to discuss about one of the best social media management tools which is Hootsuite.
What is Hootsuite?
Hootsuite is world’s one of the most widely used social media management tools which allows you to schedule, manage all your social media profiles from a single dashboard.
Hootsuite Review Summary
What does people love in Hootsuite
I have gone through a lot of Hootsuite reviews and found that people love their easy to use dashboard which can customized easily. Most of them have praised that they can do so much from right their dashboard that it has become their favorite tool.
Many of them have also praised the curation tool and their integration with Google Drive. This integration saves a lot of time of social media managers by taking the content directly from sheet.
What does people dislike in Hootsuite
Many social media managers have praised the tool, but some of the users have different issues. Some of them have said that they couldn’t find to terminate the trial period and their credit card was ultimately charged.
Some complained that even after cancelling the account during trial period, their credit card was charged. Other people have also complained that their customer service level has also dropped. They are not ready to resolve customer issues and talk rudely sometimes.
Much to my shock that Hootsuite didn’t revert to customer feedback online. It made me believe that those customer service horror stories were True.
One of the users was so convinced and happy about Hootsuite that he left a review which gives a true insight: Hootsuite is a great timesaver. I love that as I’m setting up social media posts for the week, I can schedule posts across multiple platforms at the same time, and be able to further tailor them to the character of each platform (Facebook post vs. Twitter post) all from the same site. I also really appreciate how you can add or remove different “streams” from your viewing page for each social media platform. For instance, on my Facebook tab in Hootsuite, I have my page’s scheduled posts in one column, our already published posts in the next column, and our inbox messages in another. For Twitter, though, I have my page’s tweets in one column, our other newsfeed tweets in another (which I can retweet, reply to, and like all from that column in Hootsuite!), our mentions in a third column, and our direct messages in another.
One of the users who was unhappy with the services posted their review on TrustPilot that: While in theory the program appears great, and I did enjoy using it for a little time, I was unfortunately left dry with Hootsuite and you should be wary as well.
Firstly, I tried to cancel my 14-day trial on day 12. Thought it went through but I guess not. Then I’m charged $330 for a full year’s subscription (which I was sure I opted for monthly). I’ve tried contacting them on numerous occasions within 5 days of it charging me and zero response.
Moreover, as of 5 days from now (10 days after they charged me for a full year) I find out that they can no longer post on personal pages, which was the sole reason I even considered it. Will I be reimbursed for a product I paid for that doesn’t offer the product it said it delivered? I hope so, but I’m not too sure they’ll even respond to me. The only options left are to post on my Facebook business pages which have a free scheduling tool within Facebook anyway.
There’s other apps you can post on with Hootsuite, and it might be worth while for others. But personally not for me. And it’s been a very disappointing (and unnecessarily expensive) experience with Hootsuite. And poor customer service.
You’re welcome to try it, this might be an anomaly event. But personally, it’s been a less than stella experience for me and I’ll not be recommending hootsuite to others.
